Founded in June 1996 in the UK and now based in Hinton, WV, The Laughing Professor has continually evolved. We are proud to include PrintingREADY (The Professor) as part of our family, providing specialized digital and print solutions.
Our Journey
Early Days:
In 1996, we launched with a unique service for individuals and small businesses, offering full-colour printing on a wide variety of gifts—without minimum orders or setup fees. Utilizing a pioneering dye-sublimation process, we delivered high-quality, screen-free prints on items such as ceramic mugs, plates, mouse mats, badges, and apparel—all with same-day turnaround on single pieces.
Growth and Innovation:
As demand grew, we expanded our capabilities to include vector artwork printing, laser and CNC carving, and more personalized gift options. In 2015, we diversified further into wholesale, importing, and supplying goods and equipment. By 2017, we embraced the digital revolution with custom e-commerce website development featuring on-page SEO enhancements.
Today:
Now, with decades of experience behind us, we remain dedicated to innovation and quality. I am sincerely grateful to all our clients, friends, and colleagues for supporting our journey. Although I am now ready to retire with my wife after many successful ventures, our passion for delivering unique print-on-demand solutions and comprehensive digital services continues.
